BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Karen Taylor-Johnson is the Mental Health & Disability Manager at Child Care Associates, with over 30 years of experience in early childhood education and nonprofit leadership. She specializes in program leadership, curriculum development, teacher coaching, and virtual training, including Conscious Discipline (CD), ASQ-3 & ASQ-SE, and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI).
Karen holds a Master of Education in Autism Specialist from Cambridge College and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from University of La Verne, and is an active member of NAEYC and NHSA.
Alice Heefner brings over 35 years of experience in accounting, specializing in tax preparation for individuals, corporations, partnerships, nonprofits, estates, and fiduciaries. With a strong background in financial statement analysis and strategic planning, she has guided executives and business owners through complex tax and financial decisions.
Alice’s leadership experience includes mentoring teams, fostering technical excellence, and simplifying complex tax issues into actionable strategies that support growth and compliance. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from California State University, Sacramento, and is an Enrolled Agent.
Passionate about giving back, Alice has served as CFO for a nonprofit preschool and held multiple board treasurer roles for youth sports leagues and PTAs.
Jodee Gibson is a leadership and human behavior expert with over 30 years of experience in organizational development, trauma-informed practice, and coaching. She has trained extensively with leading experts in neuroscience and psychology, integrating systems thinking and developmental science into her work.
An accomplished author and international speaker, Jodee’s award-winning book Healing Your Map explores the intersections of leadership, emotional intelligence, and human potential. She has partnered with organizations including the National Institutes of Health, University of Michigan, and University of California, advancing resilience and innovation through conscious leadership.
